Clos Mogador is René Barbiers famous winehouse in Priorat. The winery is one of the very best in Priorat, and indeed in Europe. René Barbier was one of the first wine makers to change the methods in Priorat and today he is a living legend.
The best wine, with the same name as the wine house, is known as one of the very best wines in Priorat. In good years it has uptained up to 98 Parker Points.

Grape variety: Garnatxa (grenache), Macabeo, Viognier, Marsanne, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Cariñena, Syrah and Merlot.
Soil: the soil is poor and consists of vulcanic stone, mostly slate.
Climate: temperate and dry with mediterranean influences.
