Our Wine Tour to Priorat combines great wine, beautiful nature and local gastronomy. The secret behind the fabolous wines from Priorat is foremost the wine region's excellent terroir. In Priorat, the vines are planted in terraces and the extreme climatic conditions mean low production but high quality grapes, which are ideal for producing high quality wines. Since the "wine revolution" in Priorat in the 1980's and 1990's, several wines from the region have obtained 100 Parker Points.
On our Private Wine Tour to Priorat, you will be picked up at the hotel and taken to two of the best wineries in Priorat: Ferrer Bobet and Clos Figueres. Wines from both wineries have been praised by international wine guides, and Robert Parker has given the top wine from Ferrer Bobet 97 points.
The winery produces Vinyes Velles (100 % Carignan from old vines) that has obtained up to 95 Parker Points and 98 points in the Guia Gourmets, and the Selecció Especial (100 % Carignan from old vines) that has obtained up to 97 Parker Points and 98 Points in the Guia Proensa, and 96 Peñín Points. In the wine tasting, you will taste some of the top Priorat wines.
At the Clos Figueres Winery, located in Gratallops, you will enjoy a superb winery visit and wine tasting with three high quality wines. Clos Figueres was founded by Christopher Cannan, when his friend René Barbier helped him finding a space in Gratallops to elaborate the wines. Miquel Comte, the manager of the winery, will personally show you the winery and tell you the history of the wines. It is possible to have a nice lunch at the winery. After this wonderful day in Priorat, you will be taken back to Barcelona through the beautiful landscapes of Priorat.
Facts: We recommend to start the tour at 8:30 or 9:00, but the tour and itinerary is fully customizable.
We offer the Priorat Wine Tour to private groups (already formed groups) of 8 to 40 people. If you are more than 40 people, we recommend to divide group will be divided into several groups, each with the bus, certified guide and driver.
