On this 3-day Wine Tour to Penedès, Priorat & Barcelona you will taste a wide range of local wines, taste excellent food at local restaurants and enjoy the beautiful scenery of two popular wine regions. The tour combines remote and tranquil Priorat, fertile and hilly Penedès and the metropolis of Barcelona.
The tour starts with private pick-up (for example at the airport, the port or a hotel) and transportation to the winery Can Ráfols dels Caus - one of the very best wineries in Penedès. This winery makes both red wine, white wine, rosé and cava - all organic wines with a focus on quality. After the visit to thois fabolous winery you will enjoy a splendid lunch at Mirador de les Caves, a nice restaurant with unique views of Penedès. The second winery is Gramona - probably Spain's best producer of Sparkling wines. Visit the cellar an end the tour with a tasting of some of the wineries best cavas. Afte this visit, we will take the group to the splendid Hotel Mas la Boella 4* in Priorat.
The day starts with pick-up at Hotel Mas la Boella with a private and comfortable bus. You will reach the heart of Priorat shortly, and start with a visit to Clos Figueres, a quality producer in the area, where you will have an exclusive visit with tasting and lunch.. Next stop is Mas Doix - one of Priorat's very best producers and famous for its Doix, a famolous red made on Cariñena (55%) and Garnacha (45%), a typical blend in Priorat, but the soils and methods of Mas Doix are above most of the wineries in the area. Transporation to Hotel Catalonia Placa Catalunya 4* a centric street just a stone's throw from the Plaza Cataluña in the center of the city. We have arranged for a local dinner at at quality restaurant for the group this evening.
After the breakfast buffet you will have a panoramic tour in Barcelona. The tour can be customized, but might include the Montjuïc Hill, the Olympic Port and La Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudí's famous unfished church. For lunch we have booked a table at the restaurant Llàmber in the hip Borne Quarter. Enjoy a nice lunch paired with local quality wines. Relax at the hotel until a farewell dinner at one of Barcelona's best restaurants.
