You will now explore the main sights of Barcelona. Our guide will give you the interesting history of the basilica and the life & work of Antoni Gaudí.
You will now do the short way up the beautiful paved Avenida Gaudí that will take you from the church to the the complex of Sant Pau Recinte Modernista - ideal to introduce you to another of Barcelona´s modernist architects: Lluís Domènech i Muntaner.
Enjoy a wonderfull lunch in the Eixample area - one of the best areas to feel like a local and enjoy some typical Catalan dish. After lunch, choose between visiting Antoni Gaudí's Park Güell, the colourful result of architecture mixed with nature, shopping on Passeig de Gràcia or in the artisanal shops in the Born area or relaxing at the hotel. The Born Area is one of Barcelona's most atmospheric quarters with its medieval and artistic character. Walk the streets that inspired young Pablo Picasso or visit Santa María del Mar, the inspiration behind local author Ildefonso Falcones' best seller novel The Cathedral of the Sea.

Start the day by visiting the Montjuic hill together with your private guide. We will have panoramic views of Barcelona and sights like the National Palace, the Olympic Ring and Miramar.
In the afternoon you will explore the famous Old Town, Ciutat Vella. Start your walk with the city´s busiest street La Rambla that will introduce you to several of Barcelona's most famous landmarks, like the Boqueria-Market, the Gothic Quarter´s medieval narrow alleys, Barcelona´s Cathedral at Plaça Nova and the nearby monumental group of the Plaça del Rei, the city´s political centre at Plaça Sant Jaume.
You will have time to get a feel of the magical atmosphere of Plaça del Pi and its surrounding streets. Only a few minutes away you will find the city´s historic Jewish Quarter and the labyrinth alleys of El Call.
Lunch will be served at a fantastic restaurant with some of Barcelona's best tapas. Combine it with a gastronimic experience at a nearby wine bar, where you will have a private tasting of 3 excellent top wines from Ribera del Duero, Priorat and Rioja together with some excellent Iberian ham and local cheeses.
