Cinc Sentits which translates as "five senses" is a family affair restaurant opened in 2004, located in the elegant Eixample district of Barcelona.
"I found there were clumps of restaurants, and I wanted to be near one of those clumps," said Jordi Atal, the mastermind behind Cinc Sentits.
The restaurant gained immediate critical acclaim and was awarded 1 Michelin star in 2008.

There are two tasting menus of eight and the other of six tapas-size dishes that change with the seasons to reflect the freshest seasonal varieties in the market. Foie gras “Coca”, sepia meatballs, smoked pimento, maresme strawberries and gran cru chocolate are just a few examples of the extraordinary meals served there.
The dishes are meant to stimulate five taste sensations: bitterness, sweetness, sourness, saltiness and umami. Cinc Sentits is an example of fusion cuisine that blends the Catalan culinary traditions, cooking tips from Canada with the finest ingredients and intelligence.
